The burrito was delicious, lots of flavor too. Don't let the "bland meat" reviews deter you. It was a good experience and good service. Very clean as well. We are visiting from Utah and picked it based on price and the good reviews and were very pleased.

One of my top 5 restaurants in the CDA and surrounding area. The staff is genuinely friendly and happy to serve. They never bat an eye at our 5 children invading and being kids. The atomosphere is casual and fun, nothing frilly. The menu is small but everything is delicious. I cannot recommend enough the carne asada fries with green sauce. SO GOOD. I could eat 3 or 4 orders in a sitting (they're not small, just THAT good!) The mexican rice and refried beans are by far the best in the area.

So I have to go with 4 stars overall. 5 for food but 1 for price. Positive: burrito was awesome! Steak cook perfect and burrito was huge. Negative: only bad is the price when compared to other burrito and Mexican restaurants. 9.50 for steak burrito with no drink and no add on's is a lot.

It's about damn time a food establishment proudly serving scratch made food hits this side of town :0) The price point is on the steeper side of the coin for a burrito joint but this is worth the extra coin for the quality of tasty bits! I walked in aimlessly and was greeted by a more than friendly young man willing and eager to teach me about his menu and tasty food choices. Simple menu with flavorful profiles is the name of the game with freedom burritos. I tried both meat options, carne asada & pollo asado on loaded burritos and it cost me $21.00 the burritos are heavy, plenty of meat along with the standard beans and rice. carne: great grilled marinated flavor, you taste the difference when someone takes the time to marinate skirt steak overnight then grill it to perfection. Chicken: I prefer more mouth feel when eating chicken--they chop the chicken into smaller pieces which I don't prefer. The chicken tastes great but I am unable to decipher if this is dark meat or white meat and I simply forgot to ask. I prefer dark meat for tacos and burritos. I can't wait for the birth of the upright roasting equipment sitting behind the counter waiting for installation, bring on the pork tacos and I'll gladly return :0) Outstanding food quality from the meat choices to the house made hot sauces (mild. med, hot). Well done!

Food is super fresh and tastes great. I was recommended the carne asada burrito from the guy in charge (owner?) And I was glad because it was really good. The fact that this company supports our troops is a bonus. The food can stand on its own. Also, it is open late, which is nice when the rest of the town shuts down at 8.

Awesome burritos! Awesome staff! Awesome service! As if that isn't enough, they donate some of the proceeds to our men and women in uniform. They should get a 6th star for going above and beyond. I have been there many times and plan to visit many more times in the future.

I had three asada tacos and my father in law had the asada burrito. Both of us were very pleased with our meal! The rice on the side is excellent, and the asada meat was meaty not fatty which is a big deal to me. The facility was clean, the bathrooms were nice, and the staff was very friendly. If I drive through the area again, I'll definitely be back.

I'd really like to love this place! Unfortunately, the meat was over cooked and under seasoned (except for salt). There is a distinct lack of veggies as well. My wife was unable to eat her quesadilla due to the salt content. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I will try Freedom Burrito again soon because I am routing for them to succeed!

I was excited to see a new place to eat in Post Falls, the people in there were very nice and helpful, but unfortunately the meat was REALLY bland. My husband liked it fine, but definitely not as much as Atilanos in CDA. The beans and rice were really good, but $21 for two burritos and I couldn't even eat half of mine, it was just lacking flavor... If they'd figure out the seasoning, it would could be great!!

This place is amazing. I had the Carne Asada and you can taste the difference. Everything is made from scratch and is fresh. This will be a regular lunch spot for me. I'm already looking forward to going back!

This area really needed a good local burrito place, Qdoba has gone downhill. So we were very happy to come across this small but very clean burrito shop near Ace hardware on Seltice way. The menu is small but thats ok. Better to have small good food than a large menu of mediocre rubbish. The chicken burritos has a well balanced taste. They even sell Mexican coke that is corn syrup free . Nice owner, personally greeted us and I could tell he genuinely cares about what hes putting together here. Cant wait to go back!!

This was my first time going to Freedom Burrito. We were greeted and givin the "spiel" about their menu. I ordered the Carne Asada burrito and it was on point. Very tasty, filling and a good bang for your buck. Will be back soon to get the street tacos.

been back twice since my initial visit. both times the meat was massively overdone. chicken seemed a bit bland, even through the extra crispy parts. hopefully they get that straightened out.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
